What we collect
- Enquiries and trial requests. If you email us or use the trial form, we receive the details you send — typically name, company, work email, phone if you give one, which product you want, and any notes. The trial form opens your own email to admin@vos-ltd.co.uk. It does not post those details to another website.
- Website use. Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5G6PERJ4CX) records pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device. It uses cookies.
- Software licences. When you activate a trial or paid licence, the program stores the key and a machine identifier in a file called licence.txt on your computer. We do not run a licence server. We only see a machine identifier if you send it to us (for example so we can re-issue a full licence for the same PC).
We do not run customer accounts on this website and we do not take card payments on this website.
Why we use it
To reply to you, issue evaluation or paid licences, support the software, and understand which pages on the site are used.
The legal bases we rely on are taking steps towards a contract (a trial or licence) and our legitimate interest in running a small software business and a public website.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. It is processed by the services that already run the site and our mailbox:
- Microsoft 365 — email
- Netlify — website hosting
- Google Analytics — site statistics
Some of those providers store data outside the UK. They do so under their own contracts and transfer tools.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept while we need them to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Licence records are kept for the life of the licence and a short period after it ends, so we can re-issue a key if you buy later.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we no longer need it. Email admin@vos-ltd.co.uk.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Cookies
The site uses Google Analytics cookies to count visits. The trial and contact pages do not set extra cookies of our own.
